PTPN told to improve financial reporting system

State-owned Enterprise Minister (BUMN) Dahlan Iskan urged state-owned company PT Perkebunan Nasional (PTPN) to immediately replace its financial reporting system with one accredited by the International Financial Reporting Standard (IRFS).
“We have discussed this [replacement] in a meeting in Bali so that all companies will be ready,” he said Tuesday, as quoted by Antara news agency.
Dahlan said that the IRFS will be implemented on Jan.1, 2012 as part of his attempts to improve overall performance.
