Bakrie meets Thailand’s ruling party leaders

Golkar Party chairman Aburizal “Ical” Bakrie met with the leaders of Phue Thai Party in Bangkok on Tuesday in a bid to develop cooperation between the two parties.

“We have initiated meetings with international leaders in the past, such as Timor Leste’s prime minister, Singapore’s prime minister and many more. We were not only talking about cooperation at the political party level, but also discussing the broader interests of our respective countries,” Bakrie told journalists before the meeting.

He says Golkar intends to cooperate on political leadership education and membership capacity development.

The visit was held with deputy chairman Theo Sambuaga and deputy secretary general Lalu Mara Satria Wangsa.
