Book fair closed for SBY’s son wedding reception

The annual Indonesia Book Fair must be temporarily closed to pave the way for President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s son Edhie ‘Ibas’ Baskoro’s wedding reception at the Jakarta Convention Centre, which is near the exhibition's location.
“There will be a lot of guests attending the reception, thus we feel it won't be conducive for the book exhibition,” the Book fair’s committee head, Bien Pasaribu, said on Friday as quoted by tempo.co.
Bien said he had discussed the matter with all tenants three weeks ago.
The Annual Indonesia Book Fair that takes place within the Senayan complex lasts from Nov. 24 to Dec. 4. Dozens of publishers from Indonesia and abroad are participating in the event.
