The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated it would need enough evidence before starting to question Sutan Bhatoegana, one of the Democratic Party's top brass, in relation to a solar system procurement graft case.
“We will show no hesitation to follow up any leads, if there are any,” the KPK's spokesman, Johan Budi, said on Friday as quoted by kompas.com.
Witness testimonies at the trial were not sufficient to initiate a new investigation, he added.
Johan said that the KPK's prosecutors could summon Sutan as a witness at the trial.
Earlier, Sofyan Hasim, a lawyer of graft suspect Ridwan Sanajaya, said he had enough evidence to prove the involvement of Sutan Bhatoegana, a Democratic Party legislator.
The Solar Home System (SHS) procurement graft case has inflicted Rp 526 billion in state losses.
