Police arrest nine illegal loggers

West Kalimantan Police, with backup from National Police headquarters, has taken nine illegal loggers into custody and named them as suspects in an illegal logging case, a high official said.
The suspects were identified only as S, A, J, S, O, ME, S, E and A. The police also confiscated 3640 logs during the arrest.
“These suspects will be charged with violating the Forest Law and could face maximum sentences for six year and nine years respectively for illegal distributing and illegal logging,” National police spokesman Insp. Gen. Saud Usman Nasution said on Friday as quoted by tempo.co.
