Text your say: New KPK leaders

A- A A+

Your expectations for the new leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as the House of Representatives elected four KPK new leaders who will serve for the next four years:

Newly elected: Bambang Widjojanto attends a fit-and-proper review before House of Representatives’ Commission III on Dec. 1 as part of the selection process of new Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) leaders. I hope the new KPK leaders will talk carefully to people who tend to get involved in corruption. They have to learn from the cases of Bibit Samad Riyanto and Chandra M. Hamzah (outgoing KPK leaders). Especially Chandra who met with people who were later involved in corruption.

KPK leaders should be more cooperative with the police and other justice officers when they try to investigate a case.

Anyway, congratulations to the newly elected members of the KPK leadership and good luck!

They have to change the way they work as they are “big shots” now. Good luck.

We have high expectations that the new leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission will be able to bring meaningful changes to the eradication of corruption in Indonesia. The four elected leaders are credible.

We have to convince the doubters that the new KPK leaders will in fact be able to fight corruption. Therefore, let us join together to support and monitor the performance of the new leaders of KPK. Let us hope for a new breakthrough.

At last, the House of Representatives has elected four new leaders and also a new chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission. The result of the selection process which was rife with political maneuvering was a big surprise.

Some top candidates recommended by the selection committee did not pass the test, whereas Abraham Samad, the youngest candidate was elected chief of KPK.

Now that the selection process is over, we should fully support the new chief and leaders and wish them every success in their task!

A piece of advice for young Abraham Samad, do not talk too much before your inauguration and before you have the opportunity to coordinate with your team. Keep in mind that the KPK is managed by a collective leadership.
