Get ready for a dance musical in town. After staging two shows – Land Of Sweets and The Story, Namarina dance school is set to present Dream On to highlight its 55th anniversary. Artistic director and school principal Maya Tamara said Dream On talks about the struggles and decisions of a teenage girl who loves to dance. The show will present 120 young dancers and invited guests, such as veteran aerobic teachers and soap opera actress Vicky Burki, actress Niniek L. Karim and new singer Alika Islamadina. Dream On will be staged at Teater Jakarta at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) on Dec. 17 and 18. Ticket prices will vary from Rp 250,000 (US$27.6) to Rp 500,000. Award winning singer Brian McKnight is set to celebrate New Year’s Eve with Jakartans at Hotel Mulia in Senayan. The annual Jakarta Clothing (JakCloth) Festival is back, promising unique outfits for teenagers and band performances. This year, the JakCloth summer edition was held in July in Senayan. The YES version takes place in Parkir Timur Senayan from Dec. 9 to 11, featuring more than 150 clothing booths.
