Injured Anang sings in Bandung before visiting hospital

Singer/composer Anang Hermansyah had his right leg examined at Borromeus Hospital in Bandung, West Java, on Sunday after a minor car accident.

Accompanied by his fiancé Ashanty Siddik, 27, Anang went to the hospital after performing at Papandayan Hotel in Bandung for the launch of an apartment building, kompas.com reported.

A hospital guard brought Anang a wheelchair after the 42-year-old appeared to show difficulties walking.

“It was examined and an X-ray was taken. The doctor said it was a common bruise and suggested that he not move a lot,” Ashanty said.

Anang was injured on Saturday after the car he was travelling in hit another vehicle in Tamiang in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, where he and Ashanty were scheduled to perform.

Ashanty said Anang fell and injured his leg as he tried to protect her.

In Tamiang, Anang had his leg massaged by a traditional healer so that he and Ashanty could sing together. The pair returned to Jakarta at night and left for Bandung for another show on Sunday morning.

Anang said he and Ashanty would also soon leave for Medan, North Sumatra, despite his injury.

“Well, at least I will not make a lot of moves. It is Ashanty who will move a lot on stage,” Anang, the former husband of singer Kris Dayanti, said.
