National Intelligence Body (BIN) chief Lt. Gen. Marciano Norman says it his high time for the nation's top spy agency to be more open and transparent.
“This is the time to end the years of doing intelligence work in great silence,” Norman, the former commanding officer of the Jakarta Military Command, said on Wednesday as quoted by tempo.co.
"We will improve our website to present any information that comes...from the people. We will also prepare a public relations team, especially for dealing with journalists."
Norman was appointed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to replace Gen. (ret) Sutanto, a former national police chief, to lead BIN in October.(dic)
