The Indonesian Corruption Watch (ICW) and the Corruption
Eradication Commission (KPK) have launched a campaign aimed at students titled “Berani,
Jujur Hebat!” (It’s great to be honest).
“We want to instill honesty among students especially those in
high school,” ICW public campaign coordinator Illian Deta Arta Sari said on Friday
in Semarang, Central Java,
as quoted by Antara.
The campaign was held in state vocational senior high school SMKN
7 Semarang where students watched and discussed a short movie about a group of
students who revealed corruption in their school.
Illian said honesty should be nurtured as early as possible,
starting from a small things, such as not cheating during the exams.
The campaign will be held in seven cities: Bandung,
Cirebon, and Brebes, West Java; and Semarang, Salatiga and Surakarta,
Central Java; and Yogyakarta. (iwa)
