President inaugurates 5 new KPK leaders

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono officially inaugurated five new
leaders of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) at the State Palace
on Friday.
The new leaders are chairman Abraham Samad and deputies Bambang
Widjojanto, Zulkarnaen and Adnan Pandu Praja. Outgoing chairman Busyro Muqoddas
was also inaugurated as a deputy.
Busryo, who was named to the KPK last year, will finish his term in 2014,
while the other four were appointed to a term ending in 2015.
The inauguration was attended by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, Vice
President Boediono and his wife, Herawati Boediono.
Also in attendance were Coordinating People’s Welfare Minister Agung
Laksono, Coordinating Economic Minister Hatta Rajasa, Coordinating Political, Legal
and Security Affairs Minister Djoko Suyanto, National Development Planning Minister
Armida Alisjahbana, Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Home Minister Gamawan
Fauzi, National Intelligence Agency chief Maj. Gen. Marciano Norman and National
Police chief Gen. Timur Pradopo.
Other dignitaries witnessing the ceremony included Regional
Representatives Council speaker Irman Gusman, Constitutional Court chief Mahfud MD,
House speaker Marzuki Alie and former KPK deputies Chandra M Hamzah, Bibit
Samad Rianto, Haryono Umar and M. Jasin, kompas.com reported. (iwa)
