Police examine alleged arsonist in NTT

East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Police have examined witnesses relating to the arson attack of the property of Rote Ndao News journalist Dance Henukh and the alleged threats made against Erende Pos journalist Endang Sidin.

 “The alleged arsonist is undergoing questioning today,” NTT Police chief Brig. Gen. Riki Sitohang said on Monday as quoted by tempo.co.

He said the police would investigate the perpetrators of the arson attack and alleged threats against the respective journalists, based on existing evidence.

Riki added the police would provide protection to journalists in exposing corruption cases in the area.

 “I support my fellow journalists in combating corruption,” he said.(drs)
