Two bombs were found near a church in Palu, Central Sulawesi, on Monday and Tuesday respectively.
Palu Police chief Adj. Snr. Com. Ahmad Ramadhan said that a resident saw a man placing a package in an alley not far from the Pasar Babi (Pig Market) on Tuesday at about 1:30 a.m., kompas.com reported.
A bomb was found in the package and it was soon defused by the police.
On Sunday morning, another bomb was found near the location, which was also close to the Bethel Church.
The threats have caused public unrest, especially among local residents.
“Of course, we worry because terror incidents have happened twice within a short period of time. What’s more, the residents still suffer from trauma, because on Dec. 31, 2005, a bomb exploded in Pasar Babi,” said Marthen, a resident.
