Garuda adds more extra flights for year-end holiday

Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia is
adding more than 14,000 seats in 54 additional flights to anticipate increasing
numbers of passengers during the upcoming Christmas and New Year holiday seasons.
The additional flights are Jakarta-Denpasar
with 26 extra flights, Jakarta-Singapore (22 flights) and Surabaya-Denpasar (6
flights) for a total of 14,658 seats from Dec. 23 to Jan. 7.
Garuda has also established a special team
to monitor and organize service for passengers during the holiday, the
state-owned airline’s spokesman Pujobroto said Tuesday.
“Garuda implements flexible response
operational policy,” he was quoted as saying by tribunnews.com.
The airline has also increasd the number of
its ground handling staffers at the Soekarno-Hatta
International Airport
in Cengkareng, Banten. (iwa)
