A search and rescue team has found more bodies in addition to the two already found and the 13 survivors already saved from a ship that sunk in Trenggalek waters, East Java, with approximately 200 passengers on board, originating from various Middle Eastern countries.
“We have uncovered around 15 bodies floating in the Grajakan waters in Banyuwangi,” Second Lt assistant Samroni told The Jakarta Post on Wednesday.
As for the sinking boat, First Brig. Ilyas Arif of the Jember water police stated that it was still under police examination.
“So far we have noticed that the boat is severely damaged. We also established that it was carrying many containers of solar gas,” he said.
