New tour of duty for Jakarta Police officers

The National Police is reshuffling
several middle-ranking police officers in the Jakarta area, according to a
statement from the National Police chief released Tuesday.
The Jakarta Police spokesman, the
cybercrime unit head, and the North Jakarta Police crime detective chief are
among the positions that will be handed over to new officers soon.
“The change will be effective shortly after
New Year’s day,” City Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Baharuddin Djafar told
reporters Wednesday.
The wire states that Baharuddin will
undergo further education at the National Police Staff and Leadership College
(Sespimpol) and have his spokesman duty taken over by Sr. Comr. Rikwanto.
East Java Police legal office head Sr.
Comr. Imam Sayuti will replace Sr. Comr. Bambang Purwanto at the same position
in the Jakarta Police. Bambang will hold a senior position at the Agency for
the Protection and Placement of Indonesian Migrant Workers.
Cybercrime unit head Adj. Sr. Comr.
Hermawan Februanto will be the new Tulungagung Police chief in East Java,
Industrial and Trade Crime unit head Adj. Sr. Comr. Sandi Nugroho will head the
Bandung Police, and North Jakarta Police crime investigation unit head Adj. Sr.
Comr. Irwan Anwar will head the Madiun Police in East Java. (mim)
