Bogor police destroy 214 kg of marijuana

The Bogor, West Java, authorities destroyed on Thursday 214 of a total of 216 kg of marijuana confiscated last week.

The Bogor deputy Regent, the Bogor resort police chief, the Bogor District Court chief and the Bogor Prosecutor’s Office chief destroyed 10 packages of the drug, a small part of the total 214 kg found, in a ceremony at the Bogor police headquarters, antaranews.com reported.

The rest will be destroyed by the police.

The remaining 2 kg is to be kept as evidence to be presented during the trial.

Bogor Police chief Adj. Sr. Com. Hery Santoso said that the marijuana was confiscated on Saturday in Sukabumi, West Java.

Two people were arrested, but another suspect is still at large.
