BNI sets aside Rp16.2t for Christmas, New Years

State-owned Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) has
allocated Rp 16.2 trillion (US$1.79 billion) to meet its customers needs during
this holiday season, according to a company executive.
The funds will be distributed to its 6,227
automatic teller machines (ATMs) and 1,300 branches across the country from
Dec. 19 to Jan. 7, 2012.
BNI operational general manager Kartika
Siwi said that the bank would also intensify 24-hour surveillance at its ATMs.
The company will also deploy a
quick-response team to tackle problems, kompas.com reported.
