JAKARTA: The Jakarta Police bomb squad was dispatched to Gambir train station in Central Jakarta on Thursday after a report was made about an unattended bag on one of the platforms.
“The black travel bag was found by station security guard Nugroho at 10:30 a.m. and he reported it to the police. The report was responded to immediately by the bomb squad,” Central Jakarta Police crime detective head Comr. Hengky Haryadi told reporters.
The squad X-rayed the bag on the spot, revealing that it contained clothes and a flashlight. However, the squad confiscated the bag for further examination.
