The Jakarta administration has confiscated four Chinese food products from a market in the city for lacking information in Indonesian on their packages.

Officials from the city Sub-agency of Cooperatives for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Trade confiscated the products from Sunter market in North Jakarta during an inspection on Thursday ahead of Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations, beritajakarta.com reported.

Almont Daniel, head of the sub-agency, said that he would summon the importers.

He said that there should have been proper information about the expiry date and the type of goods in Indonesian, so that costumers would not be confused.

The officers had also inspected Mal Artha Gading and Mal Kelapa Gading shopping malls, but did not find any violations.
