Uruguay soccer club Penarol signed a
contract with two young Indonesian soccer players, Manahati Lestusen and Abdul
Rahman Lestaluhu.
The two players previously played for the Sociedad
Anonima Sportiva (SAD) team at the Uruguay junior competition.
“They will play for Penarol, just like
Syamsir Alam, who used to play for the club,” of Pelita Jaya Kronos representative
Adika Nuraga Bakrie said on Friday as quoted by tempo.co.
Pelita Jaya Kronos is the club in charge of
the SAD Uruguay program.
Another Indonesian soccer player, Mochammad
Zainal Haq, is still currently under contract with the team.
“I heard Penarol will extend its contract
with Zainal,” said Adika.
Syamsir Alam would move to CS Vise, a
second division club of the Belgian League owned by the Bakrie family.
“That means there will be four Indonesian
players in Vise because the club had hired Yandi Sofyan, Alfin Tuassalamony and
Yericho Christiantoko before recruiting Syamsir,” said Adika. (ira)
