N. Sumatra police to secure 929 churches

North Sumatra Police, in cooperation with the Indonesian Military and the Medan Public Order Agency, are deploying 11,988 personnel to guard Christmas celebration in the province from Saturday until Sunday.
North Sumatra Police chief Insp. Gen. Wisjnu A. Sastro said that the police would guard 929 churches in 74 locations.
"The police have established 130 security posts in all over the province to do their duties," he said Saturday as quoted by kompas.com. (drs)
