Two convicts, an official arrested in jail drug dealing case

Two convicts and the Cipinang penitentiary official were arrested on Sunday for drug dealing activities at the penitentiary.

The arrest was made during an impromptu inspection by the drug eradication task team from the Law and Human Rights Ministry and the Narcotics National Agency.

Law and Human Rights Deputy Minister Denny Indrayana said the ministry would punish the penitentiary official should he be proven to have been involved in the drug trafficking activities.

“We are conducting an intensive interrogation of him,” Denny said.
