Bali hotel occupancy rate tops 77% for holiday

The hotel occupancy rate in Ubud in Gianyar regency, Bali, reached 77 percent on Christmas Day.
“On other days, it is about 30 or 40 percent,” Dewa Arimbawa, head of the Gianyar chapter of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association, said on Monday, as reported by antaranews.com.
She predicted that the figure would increase until New Year’s Eve.
Most tourists in Ubud come from Europe, the US or Asian countries.
