Holiday revelers throng Ancol Dreamland, Ragunan Zoo

Ancol Dreamland in North Jakarta remains the city’s favorite entertainment, estimating that 100,000 visitors were on hand for the Christmas holiday.
Dreamland spokesperson Metty Yan Harahap said that 75,000 visitors visited the park as of 4 p.m. Sunday, and the number of visitors would likely top 100,000 by nightfall – up 10 percent from last year and about three times the number of visitors on an average weekend, beritajakarta.com reported.
Meanwhile Ragunan Zoo also recorded a sharp increase in its number of visitors on Sunday.
Spokesman Wahyudi Banbang said that 70,000 people might visit the zoo by day’s end, reporting that 58,000 people visited the zoo as of Sunday at 2 p.m.
