State-owned railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) will provide an expanded electric train (KRL) service during New Year’s Eve, which will service the Bekasi-Jakarta and Bogor-Jakarta routes.

The company’s public relations senior manager for the Jakarta operational division, Mateta Rijalulhaq, said additional operational hours for the trains during New Year’s Eve would help people who lived outside Jakarta to celebrate at entertainment spots in the city.

For the Bekasi-Jakarta route, the last train from Jakarta is scheduled to arrive at Bekasi Station at 1:33 a.m., kompas.com reported on Wednesday.

For the Bogor-Jakarta route, the last train from Jakarta is scheduled to reach Bogor station at 2:02 a.m.
