Text your say: Bank Century

Your comments on the result of the Supreme Audit Agency’s (BPK) second
forensic audit of the Bank Century bailout, which showed that then
finance minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati or Vice President Boediono reaped
no illicit financial benefits:
I am sure that there has been a cover up. Why has there been no independent audit?
Too much dirt has been swept under the carpet.

The fact that up to now nobody has been able to prove that Sri Mulyani and Boediono financially
benefitted from the bailout indicates that they are squeaky clean individuals.
The unproven accusations only catapulted them to even higher in fame. You two go on; we still have need for more conscientious people like you.
Everyone knew the outcome before the event. It’s the same old story. Even if another audit was provided by an internationally recognized auditing practice, it would make this current audit seem like a farce and corruption cover-up. It’s a waste of time.
Corrupt political party members are simply at a loss when they see spotlessly clean figures such as Sri Mulyani and Boediono.
The corrupt simply have to make sure that these two potential top leaders have no place in our government where they might weed out dishonest officials.
Let us groom more honest citizens like those two to be future leaders to end the shameless corruption in our developing nation.
Prison guards willingly allow wealthy corrupt prisoners to walk out of their cells for a few thousand rupiah. Doesn’t that tempt more people to become corrupt?
I hope the death penalty for corruptors, as proposed by Central Java, will not be necessary. At least, not yet.

Auditors without qualifications are now out buying false certificates, the same as other officials do for their positions.

The House is questioning the qualifications of auditors only after they received an unfavorable audit.
Would this issue be raised if they received a report favoring their assumptions?
That is the quality of our House.
I believe parties such as Golkar and the Prosperous Justice Party will request a third forensic super-audit to keep the Century case alive until 2014.
