The Jakarta Firefighter and Disaster Mitigation Agency will
deploy personnel on New Year’s Eve in various entertainment centers in the
city, the agency chief said.
Paimin Napitupulu said the agency would deploy personnel
across Jakarta, including in fire-prone Tambora
in West Jakarta.
“We will be on stand-by for 24 hours arranging personnel in
three shifts. Around 1,600 people will be working each shift,” Paimin said

Paimin added that the agency would focus on areas vulnerable to
fire, as well as areas where people gather to celebrate New Year’s Eve to watch
