Zaragoza has hired former Sevilla coach
Manolo Jimenez to lead the bottom table Spanish club for the remainder
of the season.
The 47-year-old Jimenez replaces Javier Aguirre, who was fired
Friday on the back of a run of 11 games without a victory in all
competitions, including five straight league losses.
Jimenez, a former Sevilla player who coached the Andalucian
club for nearly three seasons, led AEK Athens to the Greek Cup last
season.
Zaragoza is last in the Spanish league, five points behind 17th-place Villarreal and safety.
Jimenez's first game in charge will be on Saturday at 19th-place Racing Santander.
