“To really know him, you have to talk to his assistants and workers, because he really took care of his family, friends and subordinates,” she told The Jakarta Post on Monday.
“That’s why his death is really tragic to those who knew him.”
Adesagi, 34, died on Sunday in Bandung. Initial police reports blame a defective water heater for poisoning Adesagi and his companion Randy Yan. Dewi worked with Adesagi on several projects, and also modeled in his solo show last October.
“He was a sweet, kind, always smiling, humble and soft-spoken man. He had that calm presence that made it impossible not to fall in love with him.”
Although still shocked by his sudden death, she says she is putting the loss in perspective.
“I’m still sad, but I’m aware that life is a mystery and there is a higher power that controls the ‘how’ and ‘when’ we are called upon,” she said.
