State-owned construction firm PT Wijaya Karya (WIKA) is targeting to acquire Rp 16.5 trillion (US$1.82 billion) in new contracts in 2012, an executive says.
WIKA finance director Ganda Kesuma said Wednesday that the company in the meantime was still working on contracts worth Rp 15.5 trillion carried over from last year, kompas.com reported.
He said that the publicly listed company’s portfolio would be 50 percent of the total projects coming from the government, 17 percent from the private sector and 33 percent from state-owned enterprises.
Ganda said that the company had surpassed the initial 2011 target of Rp 25.04 trillion by reaching Rp 25 trillion in November in 2011, after winning a tender on conveyor construction in Pomala, Southeast Sulawesi. (drs)
