State-owned fertilizer producer PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Pusri) will stock 30,000 tons of subsidized urea fertilizer for farmers in Musi Rawas and Lubuklinggau, South Sumatra, in 2012.

"We have stored 30,000 tons of fertilizer in the company’s warehouses in Lubuklinggau and Musi Rawas," Pusri marketing head for the Lubuklinggau-Musi Rawas distribution area Bunyamin Arza said on Saturday as quoted by Antara.

He said he estimated that the amount would be sufficient to meet demand in both areas during 2012 and the company would send more if required.

He added that the fertilizer would be distributed through eight distributors in Musi Rawas and four in Lubuklinggau, with a quota of 127.9 tons for each distributor. (drs)
