Her role as a sultry yet miserable Javanese traditional dancer in the fi lm won her the Best Actress award at the 2011 Indonesian Film Festival last month.
Prisia’s road to stardom began when the 27-year-old decided to turn away from her focus as a pencak silat martial arts athlete to giving modeling a try.
She immersed herself in the bright light of showbiz and has moved on from her recent split from her husband of four years to take up a new role as a modest teacher in Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Troops) The Series.
Prisia, who studied information technology as her major in Germany in hopes of working at an IT company, never thought that she would act.
