JPAccor, the largest hotel operator in the Asia-Pacific, will take over the management of the Nikko Hotel in Jakarta, rebranding the hotel as the Hotel Pullman Jakarta Indonesia next Thursday.
“The rebranding initiative is an important breakthrough for Accor in Indonesia. It reflects our commitment to developing Accor’s upscale brand in the country and to strengthen Accor’s position as the world’s leading hotel chain covering all segments of the Indonesian market,"
Gerard Guillouet, Accor’s vice president for Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, said in a statement sent to The Jakarta Post on Thursday.
It will be the second Pullman hotel in Jakarta and the third one in Indonesia after the launch of Pullman Jakarta Central Park in November 2011 and Pullman Legian Nirwana in Bali in February 2011, according to the statement.
The future Pullman hotel will become the 46th that Accor operates nationwide, it said, adding that the hotel chain has developed more than 70 hotels bearing the Pullman brand worldwide.
Massive changes will follow the rebranding, including the refurbishment of hotel rooms, the lobby and all day dining, as well as the establishment of meeting rooms and a ballroom that can host up to 1,000 guests for meetings, conventions and other major events. (nfo/mtq)
