Anang reports travel agency owner

JAKARTA: Musician Anang Hermansyah reported the owner of a travel agency to the police for allegedly getting away with his money without fulfilling a promise of an overseas tour for Anang and his girlfriend, Ashanty Siddik.

According to Anang, he paid Umi Rahmini Rp 260 million (US$28,300) for a trip. “[Umi] used to ask celebrities [if he could] arrange overseas trips … It wasn’t for a show, it was a pleasure trip,” he said as quoted by kompas.com on Tuesday at Jakarta Police Headquarters.

Anang said 13 people had reported Umi. “There are a lot of celebrities who have fallen victim,” Ashanty, who was with him, said.
