Despite saying that she had been receiving death threats in prison linked to a case she is currently a witness for graft convict Mindo Rosalina Manulang will not be reporting them to the police, her lawyer said.

“I think it will not be necessary because Rosahas received protection at the moment,” Mohammad Iskandar said Sunday, as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Rosa had previously stayed at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for two consecutive nights following a questioning for fear of her safety in the Pondok Bambu Penitentiary where she was being detained.

Iskandar said that the protection of Rosaby the KPK and the Witness Protection Agency (LPSK) was important because her information would be essential to the investigation of the case.

“Let’s just hope that she will be well protected,” he said.

Rosa was put in custody at the KPK headquarters late Wednesday after she asked for protection from anti-graft investigators, saying she had been threatened in her cell at the Pondok Bambu detention center due to her intention to reveal details in the case centering around a SEA Games construction project.
