The joint fact-finding team for the Mesuji human rights case will report on its final findings at 2 p.m. on Monday, team chief Denny Indrayana said.

“The team is working on a draft of the report to prepare for the final report,” Denny said Sunday, as quoted by tribunnews.com.

He said that there had been some disagreements between team members in writing up the final report.

The differences in opinion, he said, stemmed from the members’ desires to produce the most useful report for the progress of investigation into the Mesuji case.

“This final report will hopefully help resolve the (Mesuji) problem,” he said.

The final report would be given to President Yudhoyono through the Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Minister, Denny said.

The joint team consists of governmental and non-governmental representatives, including those from various relevant ministries, the police, the National Commission for Human Rights, administration officials and non-governmental organizations.

The team was formed to find facts concerning suspected human rights violations that were thought to have taken place in a number of locations in South Sumatra and Lampung.
