400 cops secure Katy Perry concert

Four hundred police officers will secure American singer Katy Perry’s California Dreams Tour 2012 at the Sentul International Convention Center, Sentul, West Java, on Thursday.
“We can deploy more personnel if we have to,” Bogor Police spokesman Adj. Comr. Ita Puspitalena said as quoted by tempo.co.
The Bogor Police will also monitor traffic around the convention center.
“Having learned from the Justin Bieber concert last year, we will focus on traffic flow around the area this time. We were overwhelmed by the traffic congestion [during the Bieber concert],” she said.
The West Java Police, the Jakarta Police, the bomb squad and the Mobile Brigade will also deploy officers to support the Bogor Police.
Some 8,000 fans are expectedly to attend the concert. (swd/dic)
