The father of one of those killed when motorist Apriyani Susanti lost control of the car she was driving and plowed into a group of people causing nine fatalities, has demanded that she receive the maximum punishment.
“We will hold a demonstration if she only gets a light sentence,” said Yadi, father of Bukhari known as Ari, on Monday as quoted by kompas.com.
Ari, an only son, was one of those killed in the fatal accident yesterday.
The accident happened in the Gambir area of Central Jakarta and as well as the dead three others were injured.
Police have revealed that Apriyani had no driving license, was under the influence of alcohol and drugs and was speeding when the accident took place. (dic)
