Sandra celebrates New Year sans family

JAKARTA: Actress Sandra Dewi missed out enjoying Chinese New Year with her family because most of them were celebrating in her hometown of Pangkalpinang, Bangka.

She said that as someone who appreciates tradition she made her New Year’s preparations on her own.

“I prepared everything myself. I swept the floor, there’s new clothes, new shoes, little bags for ang pao [New Year’s money]…” Sandra said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Monday.

The actress who starred in Quickly Express showed off several of her New Year’s items, including 20 kinds of cake and a New Year’s tree decorated with ang pao envelopes.
