Swedish pop duo Roxette will hold its first concert in Jakarta at the Mata Elang International Stadium in Ancol, North Jakarta, on March 3, 2012.

“Big Daddy Live Concerts proudly presents Roxette 2012 Live,” said Arif Ramadhoni, media relations officer of concert organizer Big Daddy Entertainment, as quoted by tempo.co on Wednesday.

Roxette, consisting of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, will perform for fans in Indonesia before going to Singapore.

Pre-sale tickets for the concert are available from Jan. 24, with prices ranging from Rp 450,000 (US$49.88) to Rp1.5 million.

The group, which was popular for such hits as Joyride and Listen to Your Heart, took a break in 2002 when Fredriksson was diagnosed with a brain tumor. During the hiatus, they prepared a compilation record titled Ballad Hits and released a new single, A Thing About You.

“In 2010, after almost a 10-year break, Fredriksson is back. Roxette kicked off its mini tour in Europe that marked the group’s comeback in music industry,” Arif said. (iwa)
