Trading of shipping company PT Berlian Laju Tanker Tbk (BLTA) shares was suspended on Wednesday due to undisclosed “important information” which could affect investors, the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) said in a statement released on Wednesday.

“The Indonesia Stock Exchange has decided to temporarily suspend trading of PT Berlian Laju Tanker Tbk’s shares in all markets starting from the first session of Jan. 25, 2012, until further notice,” according to the statement.

The “important information” had not been well enough publicized and could materially affect investors’ investment decisions, it added.

Berlian Laju’s shares traded at Rp 196 on Tuesday, Jan. 24, before the suspension—unchanged from the prior trading day. The shares have tumbled 45.56 percent in the past 12 months.
