The King of Sweden is slated to receive a medal when he meets President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Tuesday afternoon in Jakarta.

Yudhoyono’s spokesman, Teuku Faizasyah, said that King Carl XVI Gustaf arrived in Jakarta on Monday night and would stay here until Thursday, Antara reported.

The President would award the king, an honorary chief of the World Scout Foundation, with a medal to acknowledge his support if scouting in Indonesia, according to Faizasyah.

In addition to attending several scouting-related events in Jakarta and Yogyakarta, the king is expected to visit Prambanan and Borobudur temples, both in Central Java. (tas/mtq)
