The Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) Tangerang chapter officially retracted its appeal against the provincial minimum wage for 2012 at the Serang Administrative Court (PTUN) on Monday.
Presiding judge Muhammad Syauquie said that the association had canceled its appeal against case No.3/G/2012/PTUN Serang.
The association was represented by its lawyer, Rini Ambarwati, while the Banten Governor was represented by Banten Administration legal bureau staffers, Iis Darlina and Agus Sandjaya, Antara reported.
The association previously filed suit to challenge the decree issued by West Java Governor that set the provincial minimum wage at Rp 1,491,866 (US$164.10), prompting a series of massive rallies staged by thousands of laborers across the province. (swd)
