Cop in C. Sulawesi killed by murder suspect

A police officer with the Tomini precinct in Parigi Moutong, Central Sulawesi, identified as Chief Brig. Nurkholik was killed by a homicide suspect on Sunday evening.

“Nurkholik was assigned to arrest a murder suspect, but it turned out he was killed by the suspect,” Parigi Moutong Police Chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Yusuf Hondawan Tri Naibaho told The Jakarta Post on Monday.

The suspect reportedly slit Nurkholis’s throat. The police have yet to release the identity of the suspect. (swd)
