The newly-established Election Committee (KP) said they would start the screening work of candidates to lead the Indonesian Soccer Association (PSSI) on Monday.

“[On Monday], we will start working at the KPSI [Indonesian Soccer Rescue Committee] office,” said KPSI secretary-general Hinca Pandjaitan after the committee's congress on Sunday evening.

Hinca said that the committee would register candidates for PSSI chairman, deputy chairman and executive committee members from Feb. 6-15.

"The election committee will pick the best eleven out of the candidates to lead the association,” Hinca said.

According to Hinca, the candidates should submit among things a curriculum vitae, photo (4x6) and, in line with the association's statute, should be at least 35 years old and have been active in the soccer-related activities for a minimum of five years.

"We will announce the screening results on Feb. 16. Those who fail the test can appeal before Feb. 18,” Hinca said.

The committee plans to announce the new PSSI leaders to the public on Feb. 21.
