Teenagers bullying act caught on camera

A video depicting the abuse of an Indonesian teenage girl committed by a group of fellow female teenagers has been circulated widely. The five-and-a-half minute video began circulating on some social networking websites like Facebook on Monday.

The seven perpetrators are suspected to be the victim’s friends. However, in the video, they beat the victim and cut her clothing away with scissors. Just when they were about to cut the victim’s hair, a woman saw the act and they fled the scene riding motorcycles with Bali plate numbers.

Based on the dialog heard in the video, the victim borrowed money from one of the abusers and has not repaid the debt.

The video prompted a barrage of criticisms over social media.

“I can’t believe that girls can be so cruel, the point is teenagers getting more and more vicious,” said Bagus Aditnya, a college student in Bali as quoted by tribunnews.com. “If possible, the perpetrators should be arrested,” he added. (han)
