Bonds issued by consumer goods giant PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) have earned an AA+ rating from local ratings agency PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefindo).
Indofood plans to issue a maximum of Rp 2 trillion (US$224 million) in bonds in the second quarter of this year to refinance its 2007 bonds, which mature on May 15 this year, and the AA+ rating is for the maturing bonds, Pefindo said in a press statement published Thursday.
Shares of Indofood traded at Rp 5,100 apiece during Thursday’s trading as of 2 p.m. Jakarta time. The shares’ prices have risen 10.9 percent so far this year, outperforming the broader stock index's 3.6 percent gain.
