Nunun dossier ready for next stage

JAKARTA: Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators have completed the dossier on the Bank Indonesia (BI) vote-buying scandal, which has implicated Nunun Nurbaeti, and is expected to submit the documents to KPK prosecutors on Thursday.
Nunun, the wife of Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) lawmaker and former National Police deputy chief Comr. Gen. (ret.) Adang Daradjatun, was expected to sign the dossier at the KPK headquarters on Wednesday but her lawyers said she fell ill.
Nunun is expected go on trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court soon.
Nunun allegedly acted as a go-between in the case in which 480 traveler’s checks worth Rp 24 billion (US$2.66 million) were distributed to 33 House of Representatives’ lawmakers overseeing finance in return for their votes in favor of Miranda Goeltom in BI’s senior deputy governor election in 2004.
