Crystal meth dealer arrested during SBY visit

JAMBI: A man was apprehended by the Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres) after he was found carrying packages of Crystal methamphetamine during President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s visit to Jambi on Friday.
Yudhoyono was at Pudak village, Muarajambi regency, when the incident took place.
Muarajambi Police chief Adj. Comr. Badarudin said that the suspect was among the well wishers following the event.
Yudhoyono was in Jambi to commemorate National Press Day as well as have dialog with the farmers in the regency, which is known as one of the country’s rice producing centers.
Badarudin said the metal detector set off an alarm when the suspect passed through the check point.
Upon search, he was found carrying Crystal meth in six packages, which he had kept inside a match pack. The suspect was later brought to the police station for further investigation.
